Starting her kickboxing journey at just 6 years old, Layla has grown into a talented martial artist and a valued member of the BKA team.

“My daughter is autistic and had previously struggled to learn kickboxing, so I decided to learn alongside her so I could help. I quickly caught the kickboxing bug — and almost three years on, I'm still loving it!”
Since starting her journey, Phillipa has competed in 7 competitions, winning 3 gold medals and 4 silver medals.
As part of the coaching team, Phillipa particularly enjoys helping our juniors develop their skills and watching their confidence grow. She loves creating a fun, supportive environment where children can learn, progress and enjoy their kickboxing journey.

“For me, kickboxing is about much more than learning how to fight. I love the journey it takes you on, the discipline it teaches, the constant learning and the challenges that push you outside your comfort zone.
Most importantly, I’ve learned a lot about myself through training, and I love being able to pass that experience on to others — helping them build confidence, develop their skills and discover what they’re capable of.”
Mark particularly enjoys learning alongside others and helping our juniors progress, gain confidence and see what they can achieve.
